Crystal Dawn Ivy and Kenneth Aaron Syphrett were joined in Holy Matrimony Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Avoca, Texas with James Nelson officiating assisted by Stan Leaf.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Tisha Ivy of Stamford. She is the granddaughter of James and Bettye Lofton of Abilene, Texas and the late Larry and Valta Ivy of Lueders, Texas. The groom is the son of Patsy Syphrett of Bryant, Texas and Ken Syphrett of Coldspring, Texas. He is the grandson of Velma Gentry of Bryant, Texas and Kenneth and Vada Syphrett of Coldspring, Texas.
The maid of honor was Crystal Olson, friend of the bride, of San Angelo, Texas. The bridesmaids were: Christina Carter, friend of the bride, of Abilene, Texas; Ashley Syphrett, sister of the groom, of Coldspring, Texas, and Whitney Lofton, cousin of the bride, of Albany, Texas. The flower girl was Alexi Apodaca, cousin of the bride, of Georgetown, Texas. Candle lighters were Sarah Lofton, of Coleman, Texas and Meagan Lofton of Abilene, Texas, both cousins of the bride.
The best man was Jason Gillette friend of the groom, of Ft. Washington, Maryland. The groomsmen were: Kreig Gilcrease, friend of the groom of Abilene, Texas, Justin Ivy, brother of the bride of Stamford, Texas; Brad Kolafa, friend of the groom of Shreveport, Louisiana and Ryan Anderson, friend of the groom of Spring, Texas.
The ushers were: Wade Ivy, brother of the bride of Stamford, Texas, Thomas Shubert, cousin of the groom of Katy, Texas, and Casey Lofto, cousin of the bride of Albany, Texas. Ring bearer was Jeff Blanchard, stepbrother of the groom, of Coldspring, Texas. Bible bearer was Jarrod Apodaca, cousin of the bride, of Georgetown, Texas. Aisle runners were Lance Lofton and Tyler Lofton, cousins of the bride and both of Abilene, Texas.
Crystal’s beautiful white satin and tulle bridal gown is from the private label by G Collection. The satin bodice is hand beaded with French lace appliques centered with tiny pearls. The V-neckline is trimmed with rows of tiny pearls. The full flowing tulle skirt is decorated with a unique semi-cathedral train. Hundreds of pearls and sequins sparkle on this gorgeous gown.
Crystal is a graduate of Stamford High School and McMurry University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Skills and a minor in Criminal Justice.
Aaron is a graduate of Coldsprings High School, and received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force.
After a honeymoon Cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple will reside in Marble Falls, Texas.
